YOUR ELECTION INFORMATION RESOURCE

2010 NOVEMBER ELECTION VOTE VALUES

We have compiled a list of resources below to make it easier for you to do your homework and decide how to vote your values. Several strong Christians have weighed in to help in making these decisions. Sadly, in some cases clear candidate values were muddy. However, we do hope this helps you contrast, compare and make prayerful decisions as you consider God’s non-negotiable moral values and stand with him.

TRELLIS GROUP - Candidates and Propositions

The Trellis Group is comprised of Christian conservative women who represent a diverse ethnic and religious background, and believe in the values and principles of our founding fathers. The candidates and propositions have been vetted by Trellis according to certain essentials which are listed below and in line with those same principles of our founding fathers.

ESSENTIALS: Our litmus test in vetting candidates. Look for this sign ü or yes/no for judges

Pro-Life. Do they believe in life beginning at conception, and ending at natural death? Will they vote pro-life? Will they vote to overturn Roe v. Wade? Will they vote against embryonic stem cell research? Will they vote against euthanasia and cloning bills? We have allowed for the narrow exception of abortion in the case of rape, incest or risk of life of the mother if there was not a 100% pro-life candidate available.

Pro-Family. Do they believe that marriage is between a man and a woman? Will they vote to uphold traditional marriage? Will they uphold parental rights?

Pro-Constitutional. Will they strictly abide by a strict interpretation of the Constitution? Will they enforce border security, and vote against amnesty? Will they uphold religious liberties?

Pro Fiscal Responsibility. Do they believe in small government, and lowering taxes? Will they work to reform welfare? Do they believe in personal fiscal responsibility?

Upholding John 15: “Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.”

Important to Read the Trellis Disclaimer, below the Propositions.
